PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA, May 7, 2014 —Black Box Corporation (NASDAQ:BBOX), a leading technology solutions provider, today announced executive promotions which demonstrate the Company’s ongoing commitment to creating value for clients and shareholders.

Julie Lyda has assumed the role of Vice President, Strategic Initiatives. In this new role, Ms. Lyda has accepted responsibility for implementing programs that are critical to Black Box’s organizational transformation. Reporting directly to President and Chief Executive Officer Mike McAndrew, Ms. Lyda’s first assignment is to lead the analysis and improvement of the Company’s Services business sales process. She has been with Black Box for over 20 years, most recently as Vice President, Worldwide Technology Products Solutions where she was the primary architect for the transformation of the Products business through investment in new initiatives, most recently, the implementation of the distributed direct sales team.

Ms. Lyda stated “In our Products organization, we are proving that centralizing expertise and aligning structure and incentives can change the trajectory of a business. I am very excited to work with our Services organization to provide the process and tools that will create new revenue opportunities and better serve our clients.”

Josh Whitney has been promoted to the position of Vice President, Technology Products Solutions. Mr. Whitney’s mandate is to accelerate the growth of the Products business with innovative solutions and a consistent, global go-to-market approach. He has been with Black Box for over 6 years, most recently reporting to Ms. Lyda. Mr. Whitney will now report to Mr. McAndrew.
